Come and support the James Prendergast Library Literacy Program. Cummins, Jamestown Engine Plant is once again sponsoring the Library Literacy Program with a day of running, walking, and fun.

To register, contact race director, Bobbie Caswell at 716-484-7135 x 236 or print the online form  and mail it to the library, with your registration fee.  You may also print this form to bring with you the morning of the race.  FORM

Pre-race packet pick-up

8:00-8:45 A.M. on the Fifth Street side of the library.

Race Course

The race course begins at the library, continues through neighborhood streets, circles through Lake View Cemetery, and returns to the library. The course is level and slightly downhill to the cemetery. Inside the cemetery, the course has hills and some level. Back to the library, the course has a slight incline and level.  Map

Timing

Timing is once again provided by Smiley Miles.

Parking

Parking: In the library parking lot, on the 6th Street side of the library; in the 5th Street parking ramp, and on side streets.

Post Race

Awards and refreshments will be presented on the lawn of James Prendergast Library.

Awards to Overall Top Male and Female Runner, 2 places; Male & Female, 1st & 2nd place in 5 year age groups.

Walk Awards to Overall Men, Women, Boys, Girls: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd places.

The winning T-shirt design, created by Jeff Mills, an employee of Cummins, Inc., Jamestown Engine Plant, has been selected for the sixth annual Cummins Run for Literacy. The library is still accepting registrations for the 5K run/walk scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29. The event benefits the Library Literacy Center.
