First and foremost, Prendergast Library would like to thank all of the children, parents, adults, and teens who participated in this year’s Summer Reading Challenge! Special thanks to the Jamestown Parks Department’s Summer Playground Program, St. Luke’s Children of the Book Program, the Jamestown Boys & Girls Club Summer Camp, the Jamestown YMCA, and the Jamestown Public Schools Literacy Summer Camps at Ring and Love Elementary Schools for their outstanding help and participation this year!
We’d also like to give a huge thank you to the Roger Tory Peterson Institute of Natural History and their Project Wild America Youth Ambassadors, as well as the Lutheran Social Services Foster Grandparents Program for their immeasurable assistance throughout the summer!

Teen participants read a total of 143 books, while adults read 213 total books during the Summer Reading Challenge.
