Book-Themed Trivia to Help Community Members Soak up the Sun
Literacy Volunteers of Chautauqua County is fighting the winter blues with a literary-based trivia night and a wide selection of summer prizes. This “Battle of the Books” trivia night will take place on Thursday, February 27th, at 5:30 p.m. at the James E. Prendergast Library and is open to both individuals and teams.
Battle of the Books will feature three rounds of trivia with questions based on famous books and authors. Participants with the three highest scores will receive first, second, and third place prizes, which will consist of a variety of summer sports and lounging products. Refreshments will be provided, as well as separate children’s activities.
“We know it’s really easy this time of year to board the windows and hibernate until Spring,” says Julie LaGrow, the Executive Director of Literacy Volunteers. “Since Spring isn’t that far away, we thought we’d provide people an opportunity to leave the house and win some prizes to prepare for the warm weather.”
