The James Prendergast Library strives to fulfill its mission of lifelong learning by providing polices that outline the expectations of patron and staff, along with the principles and rules that guide library operations. All policies have been approved by the Board of Trustees.
Children of all ages are welcome to use the library. This policy outlines the expectations for caregivers and children to safely use the library.
To maintain a welcoming, clean, and comfortable environment, and as a designated warming and cooling center in Chautauqua County, we have established the provided Food and Drink Policy.
The library’s Internet access is intended primarily as an informational and educational resource. This policy outlines the availability and patron use of the library’s internet and computers.
This policy establishes a non-exhaustive list of prohibited behaviors for patrons of the James Prendergast Library, in order to maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment where the public can access information resources and services without disruption.
