Teens 13-17 can grab their journals for summer reading, eat pizza, participate in a “Color Run” on the Lawn, and play the game “I’m Doing…What Are You Doing?” We recommend wearing old clothes and bringing towels for the ride home; indoor use of library will be limited after the color run.

Nature’s Imprints

Kids and kids at heart are invited to explore the many colorful shapes of leaves, pine cones, branches, and man-made items and the imprints left behind when painted and stamped on paper.

Splatter Painting

Friday, July 18 4:00-5:00pm

Save the Planet, decorate your clothes! Teens 13-18 are encouraged to bring in older clothing to give them new life with paint, safety pins, and dye. In the style of Jackson Pollack, splatter painting or dyeing is encouraged as we learn about sustainable clothing practices and have fun creating art outside. Limited clothing will be provided by the library for participants who prefer not to bring items from home.

Registration is recommended due to limited supplies for this free program.

Color the Library

Saturday, August 2 1:30-3:30pm

Help us “Color the Library” with unique and colorful art painted by YOU. Add your colored hand print to the library’s raised garden bed. Create art to display around the library. Supplies provide.

Boba & Marble Art

Thursday, August 7 1:00-2:30pm

Drink Boba Pearls or paint with them? Why not both? Enjoy a taste of Taiwan as we make Bubble Tea, share snacks, and paint using non-traditional items such as marbles, string, straws, and more!

In preparation for Debussy’s birthday on August 22nd, art lovers of all ages are invited to come listen to live piano music, watch live artists create visual art of the inspiration they hear, and participants will have the chance to explore the intersection of visual and auditory art themselves!
